The Simplest Antivirus + Firewall combo

antivirus and firewall

Everyone knows that we need an Antivirus, but why Firewall? For those that's serious about security, Firewall lets you control and block unauthorized connections to and from your pc, and also blocks suspicious program activity (for example keylogging software that steals your credit card information)

Sometimes you just don't know which Antivirus + Firewall combo works the best. Fortunately, here's one that's Free and works extremely well.

1) Install Comodo Internet Security.

2) During installation you may opt to install either both, or just only Antivirus/Firewall.

3) For Antivirus, remember to update your antivirus database after installation.

4) As for the Firewall, whenever a program in your pc is trying to access some services or connection to the internet, the firewall will pop out asking you whether you allow it or not.

5) If you trust the program and know what it is doing, select 'Allow this request'. If there are lots of warnings pops out for a certain program you may choose 'Treat this application as - Trusted Application' so that it won't bug you no more.

End Note:

  • During installation it may ask you to install some third party toolbars, remember to deselect them if you don't want to.
  • The Firewall is annoying at first (needs you to approve all sorts of actions O_O) but it is worth it in the long run knowing that your PC is secure from any malicious activity.
  • There are tons of other functions in this program for you to explore.

antivirus & firewall

Comodo may be the best free software for both, antivirus and firewall, but it is NOT the simplest!

There are people out there, go online with IExplorer every day, and don't know what Antivirus or Firewall software is - no Joke! To try and teach them how to set up Comodo and answer the questions you need to answer afterward ---- hmmmmmm --- not simple to them.
